Anticoagulation for Superficial Vein Thrombosis/Thrombosis Debates: Aggressive vs. Conservative- Management of Superficial Thrombophlebitis
This activity will provide an overview of superficial vein thrombosis. The intent of this activity is to improve the learners' competency through this introduction to management of superficial thrombophlebitis.

The content of this activity is designed to meet the needs of the following target audience: phlebologists, general surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, vascular medicine practitioners, dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, family practice and internal medicine practitioners, plastic surgeons, obstetricians and gynecologists, cardiologists, and any other healthcare professional currently or planning on treating patients with venous disease.

- Identify the current aCCP guidelines for treatment of Superficial Thrombophlebitis.
- Recognize the risk of serious complications in patients with Superficial Thrombophlebitis.
- Summarize recent medical literature regarding the treatment of Superficial Thrombophlebitis.
- Formulate a plan of action for patients with various Superficial Thrombophlebitis presentations.
