Cosmetic Sclerotherapy of Leg Veins (UIP2013-08)

The user will discover how to select the proper sclerosant concentration by volume and treat reticular veins. By discussing compression, matting and pigmentation during and after cosmetic sclerotherapy, the learner will see evidence as well as alternatives of cosmetic sclerotherapy.

Learning Objectives

As a result of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Formulate a comprehensive cosmetic lower extremity treatment plan that minimizes complications and maximizes effectiveness for the variations in anatomic presentations.
  2. Utilize Duplex Ultrasound in the diagnostic and therapeutic evaluation and treatment of venulectasia and telangiectasia of the lower extremities.
